Molly has been with Lopata, Flegel & Company (LFCO) since December 2013, bringing over 11 years of experience to the firm. She has served in a management position since October 2019, leading her team with dedication and expertise.

Her interest in accounting began early, influenced by her mother, a retired CPA with a small tax practice in St. Charles. After taking her first accounting class in high school, she found the concepts clicked, setting her on a career path she continues to enjoy today. “Taxes can feel overwhelming for a lot of people, and I like being someone clients can rely on for clarity. I enjoy helping clients understand the tax impact of different strategies and removing that level of uncertainty and stress. It’s also rewarding to break down tax law changes and help clients understand the real-world impact for them.”

At Lopata, Flegel & Company, Molly appreciates the opportunity to work with clients across a wide range of industries, which keeps her work engaging and helps her build a well-rounded skill set. “I really enjoy getting to work closely with clients and being part of their success.
